Curlicues set adrift on endless seas of notepad lines
blending words into seafoam,
little rock lobsters scurrying away from my ink spill
Johnny Perfect elaborates on numerical values while I
lay claim to this craggy hillside near the water
Blink twice and nearly stab a cockle with my pen tip

drowning in the monotony of four o’clock team building
Voices like crashing waves rise and roar then settle
at the dissection of projected asset values
while I hum a siren’s song to the starfish at my fingertips…
